CARROLLTON, Ga. - An unusual early December snowstorm for the Carrollton area turned into blizzard-like conditions for the southern town, as the University of West Georgia campus and surrounding area received nearly 10 inches of snow over the course of Friday and Saturday. With the residual snow and difficult travel conditions, the university was forced to move Winter Commencement Ceremonies to Sunday, and UWG Athletics has cancelled Sunday's game against Carver.

Men's Basketball Announces Schedule Changes

Carrollton, GA The UWG's Wolves men's basketball schedule has undergone a shuffle as one game is off the schedule and another has been added. UWG's December 11 game vs. the Virgin Islands has been cancelled. In its place the Wolves have changed the schedule on the fly. UWG will welcome Carver to The Coliseum for a 4:00 tip on Sunday afternoon.

CLEVELAND, Tenn. A slow first quarter didn't hold the UWG women's basketball team back as they won their third straight and moved to 2-0 in Gulf South Conference play, defeating Lee 72-63 on the road on Saturday afternoon.
