CARROLLTON, Ga. – A yearly tradition for UWG baseball continued this Thanksgiving season as the Wolves delivered Thanksgiving meals to those in need in the West Georgia area through Wolves Helping Others.

Leading up to the Thanksgiving holidays, head coach Skip Fite and his Wolves took a team shopping trip to Kroger to purchase those meals and then they were delivered to families for Thanksgiving.

“It’s a great opportunity for our guys to give back, and it’s always a fun time when our guys go to do the shopping before we get off for Thanksgiving,” said Fite. “Just being able to bring some smiles to faces and do what we can for those in need is a special opportunity for our team,” he continued.

UWG’s baseball season begins in February, with the Wolves traveling to Augusta to open the season on February 2-3.
