CARROLLTON, Ga. - The schedule for the 2018 volleyball season was released Monday by head coach Jon Moseley, with his Wolves taking on non-conference opponents at three tournaments outside of regular Gulf South Conference play.

Practice begins for the fall season on Monday, August 6, and the Wolves will be on the road for the first scrimmage on the weekend of August 18. The first gameweek of the year comes on August 20, with the season opener at the Alabama Huntsville Tournament in Huntsville, Ala. The Wolves will play three matches over the course of two days, beginning on Friday, August 24 and ending on August 25. The final warmup before conference play begins will be the next weekend, as the Wolves will take on the field at the Erskine Tournament in Due West, SC.

The first home match will also be the opener for Gulf South Confernece play on Tuesday, September 11, with the Wolves set to take on Lee at The Coliseum. That will be a three-match week, with UWG on the road at Shorter to take on Moseley's former charges on September 14, followed by a September 15 match against Valdosta State on Saturday.

The first run through the conference schedule will end on October 13 at Montevallo, followed the next weekend by the annual crossover tournament between the Gulf South Conference and the Sunshine State Conference. That tournament, held this year in Orlando, Fla., will be on October 19 and 20, and the opponents for that weekend will not be announced until the Monday before the event.

Following the crossover, the Wolves will have just five matches remaining in the regular season before the 2018 Gulf South Conference Championships. Two of those will be at home, with senior night scheduled for Tuesday, October 30 against Auburn Montgomery.
