A guard from Miami, Fla., Smith comes to the Wolves as a Division I transfer from University of San Francisco. He appeared in 19 games for the Dons a year ago, averaging 3.2 points per game. Smith hit on 14-of-32 three-points, a 43.7% mark. Smith scored 12 points twice for the Dons as a sophomore, against Sacramento State and San Francisco State. Smith prepped at a basketball factory in Miami Christian in his hometown of Miami, Fla. There he had a significant amount of success, averaging 22.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists as a senior, helping the Victors to the Florida 2A state championship with a 71-44 victory over Orlando Agape Christian. With that success, he was named Dade County's Player of the Year and was also selected as Florida's Dairy Farmers Class 2A Player of the Year. In addition, he was one of nine finalists for Florida's Mr. Basketball award in 2015.
Introduced himself to the West Georgia faithful with 27 points and nine rebounds in his first game in a UWG uniform ... averaged 24.0 points per game through the first two games of the year ... shot 6-for-14 from three-point range and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
