Overview
Ross posted impressive numbers for coach Lewis Thorpe's 24-6 team at North Lawndale. He averaged 16 points, four assists, and 1.9 steals per game. His most impressive stats came from beyond the arc as Ross connected on 74 three-point baskets, hitting more than 48% of his long-range shots. This includes an impressive 10 three-pointer in a Chicago city playoff game vs. DeSable Academy, setting a single-game record for North Lawndale. He also is a 1,000-point scorer for NLCP, netting 1,209 career points in his high school career.
The Chicago native cemented his reputation as a dual threat, winning the NLCP Slam Dunk Competition and finishing in second place in the Illinois Class 3-A Three-Point Contest following the completion of his senior campaign this past spring. Beyond the court, Ross also is a standout in the classroom. He graduated North Lawndale with an impressive 3.7 grade point average, and scored a 25 on his ACT exam.
