Carrollton, GA - It was a tough Sunday for UWG as the Wolves dropped game three of a Gulf South Conference series to the Lee Flames by a score of 5-2 at Cole Field.

The Wolves fell behind early as Lee put up a single run in the top of the first to take an early lead in game three of the series. West Georgia responded in the bottom of the second as Logan Arnett singled to right field, scoring Cade Marlowe for West Georgia's first run.

Lee regained the lead in the top of the third on a sacrifice fly, giving the Flames a 2-1 lead. Ben Utley hit his first homerun of the season in the bottom of the inning to once gain tie the game, this time at 2-2.

That would be all the scoring for either team until the top of the eighth when Lee put up a three spot to take the lead 5-2. That would be all the scoring for either team as the final score was 5-2.

Christopher Michals and Cade Marlowe led UWG with two hits a piece. Ben Utley and Logan Arnett each had an RBI for UWG. Ryan Parker was the starting pitcher for UWG, giving up only one earned run in six innings pitched.

The Wolves now have two midweek games as they host they Columbus State Cougars on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. and the Albany State Rams on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Live stats will be available at
