Carrollton, GA - West Georgia was unable to sustain their momentum from last weekend as they dropped the final two games of a three game series to the West Florida Argonauts on Sunday afternoon at Cole Field.

Game One
It was another tightly contested game on Sunday afternoon as the West Florida Argonauts downed the Wolves by a score of 6-5 in game one of a GSC doubleheader.

It was a pitching duel through three innings as neither team scored through their first three at-bats. West Florida struck first in the top of the fourth with three runs on four hits. West Georgia responded in the bottom of the fourth with two runs on a two RBI single from Ryan Raper.

West Georgia took their first lead of the game in the sixth inning as they scored three runs to take a 5-3 lead. Two runs came off of a Christopher Michals triple. The other run came across on an RBI single from N.J. Williamson.

It was the Argonauts, though, that came up clutch as UWF scored a single run in the eight, ninth, and tenth inning to win the game 6-5.

Brady Barnes, Ryan Raper, and N.J. Williamson led UWG with two hits apiece. Raper and Christopher Michals each had two RBI for the Wolves.

Game Two
It wasn't the start that UWG had hoped for as West Florida scored two runs in the top of the first inning to take a 2-0 lead. West Georgia cut the lead in half in the bottom of the second scoring a single run on a Bradley Felkel base hit.

West Florida struck back in the top of the third with a single run on a UWG error. The Argonauts then scored two more runs in the top of the fifth on a two-run homerun.

West Florida added two runs in the sixth and four runs in the seventh to finish the game by a score of 11-1. Bradley Felkel had two hits and drove in the lone run for the Wolves.
