Carrollton, GA - It wasn't the Sunday that West Georgia had hoped for as they dropped the final game of a three game series to the Christian Brothers Buccaneers by a score of 5-1 at Carrollton High School.

How it Happened
Christians Brothers was first to score, picking up two runs in the top of the second inning. A throwing error by Tyler Garner, followed by a base hit allowed the two runs to cross the plate.

It wasn't until the bottom of the sixth inning that West Georgia struck for their first runs of the game. With two outs in the inning Ben Utley singled, giving UWG their first hit since the first inning. Artemis Kadkhodaian then doubled, driving in Utley to give UWG their first run of the game.

The Buccaneers used hits in the top of the eighth inning to score two more runs to push the CBU lead to 4-1. The Bucs added the final run of the game in the top of the ninth, taking the win 5-1 over the Wolves.

Tyler Garner started his first game of the season for UWG. He threw 4.2 innings, giving up only one earned run and six hits.
