Dahlonega, GA - The West Georgia Wolves baseball team dropped their final nonconference matchup of the season to 2nd ranked North Georgia Nighthawks by a 12-3 score.

How it Happened
North Georgia took an early lead with a run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first inning. The second ranked team in the nation went on to score six runs in the bottom of the second to take a commanding 7-0 lead.

The Wolves scored their first runs of the game in the top of the third on a two run homerun from Artemis Kadkhodaian. The Wolves then added a single run in the top of the fourth on an RBI single from Logan Arnett.

The Nighthawks added to their lead with a single run in the bottom of the fourth, making it an 8-3 North Georgia lead. North Georgia then hit three homeruns in the bottom of the sixth inning to push their lead to 12-3. That would end the scoring for either team with North Georgia taking the win 12-3.

Artemis Kadkhodaian finished the game 3-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Six other Wolves had a hit in the contest. Andrew Marshall threw two scoreless innings in relief for UWG.
