CARROLLTON, Ga. - Just two weeks after completing her second season at West Georgia, head soccer coach Stacey Balaam announced today the addition of nine signees to the 2019 Soccer recruiting class.

Of the nine new additions, Balaam brings in a pair of goal keepers, two defenders, three midfielders, and two forwards. And while all nine will be incoming freshman, they represent a diverse group geographically. Six are Georgia high school players, while the Wolves will add a Tennessean, one from Alabama and another from Ohio.

"We are excited to announce our signing class for the 2019 season. These young ladies will bring talent depth and good character to our program," said Balaam. "After seeing the intangible improvements on the field this year, I feel confident that this new signing class will make a big impact and support within the areas where we fell short last season," added the Wolves' head coach.

"I also want to thank Coach Chedgy for his collaborative effort within this recruitment process and his dedication towards the program's future." She went on to break down the class by position.

Goal Keepers

"We have increased the level of competition within our goal keeper position by bringing in Haley Brinkman and Abi Chaves, both of whom will challenge Jackie Donaldson who has started for us the last two years."

"We are also excited to strengthen some defensive areas with Abby McGlamery, a center back and Adriana Juric as an outside back."

"We hope to improve on our goal scoring next year and have added many elements to our attack with some technical and forward-thinking midfielders; Erin Dickson, Kenzie Stoup, and Coley Branum.

"We also added some instinctive goal scorers Ryelyn Wells and Cassidi Thomas who will bring quality in front of goal."
