ROME, Ga. – Wolves finish third at the Gulf South Conference Track and Field Championship meet with 92.83 points. Ahead of the Wolves, Lee finished first with 246.50 points and Alabama-Huntsville second with 173.83 points. Due to some weather concerns, Saturday’s events began at 6:30 am running the 4x100m under the lights.



For the final throws event of the meet, MJ Jones and Ravae Cox gathered seven points together in the javelin and each a new personal record. Jones placed fifth with a throw of 32.46m and Cox in sixth with a throw of 32.30m.



Meghan Daniels and Heather Lundi finished side by side in the 400m hurdles for seventh and eighth place. Daniels ran a 1:00.14 and Lundi ran a 1:00.36, together earning a couple of points for the Wolves. Ashley Davis finished fifth in the 200m dash finals in 25.13.



Tora Wright matched her personal best in the finals of the 100m hurdles for seventh place. Earlier in the season, Wright ran a 15.53 and Saturday morning she ran that exact time to finish her season. In the 400m hurdles, Maniyah Thomas and E’Myah Carter finished fifth and sixth. Thomas finished in 1:08.31 and Carter finished in 1:09.73 both ending the season with huge personal records in the race.



Marion Bartilol finished sixth in the 5k in 18:33.43 which was just seconds shy of the school record. Bartilol shaved almost a minute off of her best 5k time this season with her 18:33 race.



With an early start, at 6:30 Saturday morning, the West Georgia ‘A’ team finished fourth in the 4x100m relay in 47.91 seconds. Later that morning, to end the meet, the West Georgia ‘A’ team finished sixth in the 4x400m relay in 3:59.57.
