CARROLLTON, Ga. - Head women's basketball coach Scott Groninger announced today the addition of Division I transfer Madison Wilder to the UWG women's team as the guard comes back to her home state to play for the Wolves.

Wilder, a 5-11 guard is originally from Rome, Ga. where she prepped at Pepperell High School. Last season, she was a true freshman at Elon University where she was part of a CAA Championship squad that finished 27-7 and fell to West Virginia in the NCAA Tournament First Round.

She saw action in 14 games as a true freshman, averaging 1.9 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest. Wilder scored a season-high seven points against King, and put up five points against No. 21 Duke and College of Charleston.

Wilder will join a West Georgia squad that finished 15-13 on the year and reached the GSC Semifinals for the third time in four seasons. The Wolves also return their top-six scorers from a season ago
