CARROLLTON, Ga. - The University of West Georgia announced a shift in the schedule for next week, as the Wolves have moved one date and added another for basketball at The Coliseum. In addition, the UWG Cheer program will host the 2018 Friends And Family Night ahead UCA Nationals in Orlando next Weekend.

Timeline for January 7-January 15, 2018
January 7, 2018 - 3PM
On Sunday, January 7, the West Georgia men's basketball program will host a make up game, taking on the Carver Cougars in non-conference action at 3 p.m. The game was originally to be played in early December, but head coach Michael Cooney was forced to postpone it due to the 10 inches of snow that blasted through Carrollton on that weekend. The game will be a non-ticketed event, with free admission for all fans.

Tuesday, January 9 - 5:30/7:30 PM
The West Georgia Wolves also announced a schedule change for Monday, January 8, and the Wolves will now play a Gulf South Conference doubleheader against Auburn-Montgomery on Tuesday, January 9 with a 5:30 p.m. start for the women's game and a 7:30 p.m. start for the men's game. AUM is the newest provisional member of the GSC, and this will be their first visit to The Coliseum. Tickets for the event can be purchased through the UWG Athletics Ticket Portal, and for season ticket holders, the tickets for Monday's game will serve as the ticket for Tuesday's contest. At halftime of the women's game, the SNAPS cheerleaders from Carrollton Orthopaedic will be on-hand.

Wednesday, January 10 - 7:15 PM
The weekend of January 11-14 is the annual UCA College Cheerleading Nationals in Orlando, Fla., where the Wolves have been dominant since 2001. West Georgia's coed squad will be going for their fifth-straight championship at this year's event, while the all-girl squad looks to repeat as champions from a year ago. Each year, head coach Nicole Nichols has hosted the Family & Friends Night at The Coliseum, with this year's night coming on January 10 at 7:15 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Saturday, Janaury 13 - 2:00/4:00 PM
The weekend keeps the Wolves in the friendly confines of The Coliseum, as the Wolves play host to the North Alabama Lions for the final time in regular season basketball, as UNA moves to Division I in the 2018-19 athletic year. The women's game is set for 2 p.m., and the men's game will be at approximately 4 p.m. That will be the first installment of the Barnes Store Challenge quarterfinals, a lip-sync battle at halftime between student organizations on campus, taking place during the men's game.

Monday, Janaury 15 - 2:00/4:00PM
The whirlwind week of basketball will conclude on Monday evening, as the Alabama Huntsville Chargers come to town for more Gulf South Conference basketball. The Wolves and Chargers will meet in women's basketball at 2:00 p.m., followed by the men at approximately 4:00 p.m. At halftime of the men's game, the second quarterfinal for the Barnes Store Challenge lip-sync battle will take place.
