Each year at the WESTPYs, we honor the best individual male and female athlete throughout the year with an Alpha.

Female Athlete of the Year - Alley Taylor

Male Athlete of the Year - Devontae Jackson

Fan of the Year

In each of the first four WESTPY Awards ceremonies, the University of West Georgia Department of Athletics has presented the Fan of the Year. This man was a fan, but he epitomized the word supporter, because that’s what he did for the University of West Georgia athletic department, the University as a whole, and the community through his work at American Pie Pizzeria. While we honor our fifth Fan of the Year, this is the first posthumous Alpha that we have presented. This year’s Fan of the Year is Mr. Max Hartman.

Mr. Wolf and Miss Wolf

Mr. Wolf and Miss Wolf are everything that each athlete at West Georgia should strive for while here in Carrollton. The winners are strong on the field, in the classroom, and in community service and they represent the University in a positive way.

Mr. Wolf - Cade Marlowe, Baseball

Miss Wolf - Emani Collins, Track & Field
