CARROLLTON, Ga. – Both Men’s and Women’s Cross Country return to the course this weekend for the Berry Invitational in Rome, Georgia on Saturday morning.

It’s been two weeks since the Wolves have seen any competition on the course. Since the Wolves will be running two weekends in a row, head coach Ryan Bailey is going to treat this race as a tune-up for the upcoming Gulf South Conference race.

The Men’s team will focus more on “pack running,” where the team will run together as a whole. While this may limit some individual performances, Coach Bailey believes that the athletes will benefit a lot from the tactic.

Women’s Cross Country will also be running on Saturday in the Berry Invitational. When running in the UNG Invitational two weeks ago, Alaina Burnside was the top finisher for the Wolves. Burnside has been the top finisher for the Wolves in the past two races. As a team, the Wolves finished 13th overall.

The men’s race begins at 9 a.m. with the women’s race set to begin at 10 a.m.
