CARROLLTON, Ga. – Three contests are set for this week and one big community event will be on tap as well with the return of the Coaches' Luncheon at American Pie Pizzeria on Maple Street.

Coaches' Luncheon at American Pie
For the second time this fall, the Coaches Luncheon will be held on Wednesday at American Pie. The Coaches' Luncheon is an opportunity for fans and members of the community to join UWG Athletics at American Pie on Maple Street for a "dutch treat" meal. Fans will have the opportunity to hear from coaches who are currently in-season and to ask questions in the lead up to a busy weekend for UWG Athletics.

Head coach David Dean and the Wolves moved to 10-0 on the season after beating Delta State 29-17 this past Saturday at Ra-lin Field. Wolves standouts included LaPerion Perry with 300 all-purpose yards, Devontae Jackson with his 14th-career 100-yard game, Willie Candler throwing 307 yards, Montrell Pardue with 12 tackles, and Raekwon Chatman with an interception returned for a touchdown to lock down the Wolves win.

The Wolves are taking on Valdosta State for the GSC Championship on Saturday on the road at 7 p.m. Saturday’s game has major implications as the winner will not only receive the Peach Basket and GSC Championship, but also the top seed in Super Region 2, and a first-round bye in the NCAA Playoffs. Tickets can be purchased from the UWG Bookstore until Friday at 5 p.m. For General Admission adult tickets, the cost is $10, with a student general admission ticket cost at $5. The ticket purchased at the bookstore will also serve as a coupon good for 20 percent off gameday gear.
