CARROLLTON, Ga. – The UWG women's basketball team and head coach Scott Groninger announced today the newest addition, or additions to the 2017 Signing Class as the Wolves have added twins CeCe Carter and Sarah Carter out of Central Christian in Newnan, Ga.
"We're excited about getting two good players, and allowing them to continue their playing careers together," said head coach Scott Groninger. "Both CeCe and Sarah have great talent and are fairly local being from Newnan, and we're ecstatic to see what they can do in a UWG uniform."
Both twins were instrumental in leading the Central Christian Crusaders to back-to-back GICAA State Titles including a perfect 24-0 mark in 2016-17.
CeCe ended her high school career averaging 20 points per game and led the Crusaders in nearly every offensive category. The guard played every game and averaged over 20 minutes per game.
For Sarah, she wrapped up her time at Central Christian averaging eight points and eight rebounds in her senior season.
The Carter sisters join the Wolves team who finished this past season 15-13 overall and 13-9 in the Gulf South Conference including a trip to the GSC Semifinals for the third time
