|Position:||Director of Football Operations|
A successful college football operation is more than blocking, tackling, and ball security. The coaches and players take care of those things. And, at UWG, Tad Blaylock takes care of just about everything else.
Blaylock is in his fourth season at UWG as Director of Football Operations. That broad job title doesn’t come close to defining what Blaylock does for the UWG Wolves. He has a major part in almost every off-field aspect of the program, allowing the coaches and players to concentrate on the job of winning games.
From travel arrangements for a playoff game 2,000 miles away to getting the proper stripes on the game jerseys, Blaylock has done it all for UWG. He will continue to serve that capacity in 2017 for the Wolves and new coach David Dean.
Blaylock came to the West Georgia staff prior to the 2014 season, arriving in Carrollton from Southern Mississippi. At USM, he was an operations assistant for the Golden Eagles’ football program.
Blaylock is a native of Amory, Miss., and a graduate of Amory High School. He is a 2012 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned his B.A. in Business. He also earned a master’s degree in Sport Management while at Southern Mississippi.
Blaylock is married to the former Victoria Mayhall of Jackson, Tenn.
