DADE CITY, Fla. – A final round of 304 for the UWG women’s golf team gave the Wolves a fifth place finish at the Saint Leo Women’s Invitational at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club on Tuesday.


The Wolves final round gave them a 604 total over 36 holes, and 18 shots behind tournament champion Nova Southeastern.


Franziska Bremm was back to her old self on Tuesday, shooting a one-under par 71 to notch a sixth place tie with a 156 total. Bremm made four birdies and three bogeys on her way to Tuesday’s 71.


Senior Maria Torres bounced back from yesterday’s 77 with a 74 on Tuesday to vault up to 18th on the leaderboard with a 151 total.


After yesterday’s 73, Layne Carter shot a 79 on Tuesday, giving the sophomore a 152 total. Carter made back-to-back birdies to start the day, but struggled with six bogeys on the back side alone. Her 152 total was good for a 22nd place tie.


Jordan Daniel and grace Gildner shot the same exact score for the second day in a row as both shot a final round 80 on their way to a 35th place tie with a 156 total.


The tournament is the final event of the fall season for the UWG women, as they will ramp back up in January for their championship season in the spring.
