CARROLLTON, Ga. – The West Georgia Wolves lost for the first time this season on Tuesday night in Atlanta, falling to the Morehouse Maroon Tigers 91-86 in non-conference action.

How it Happened:
The game opened with Morehouse and West Georgia going toe-to-toe throughout the first eight minutes of the contest. The Wolves led 9-6 early, but the Maroon Tigers turned up the intensity on both ends of the floor, building a 42-26 lead with just under four minutes left in the first half.

At that point, the Wolves went on a 10-2 run to close out the half, cutting the Morehouse lead to just eight points, as the Maroon Tigers led 44-36 heading into the break at the half.

Out of the break, Vinko Glavan opened up the game on the interior early in the period with four-straight points, and then a pair of free-throws from Marquill Smith cut the Morehouse advantage to 48-42 with 18 minutes left in the game.

West Georgia cut the Morehouse lead to just four once in the next eight minutes, but with 10:51 left in the game, a layup from the Maroon Tigers against pushed the Morehouse lead back out to 10 points. Inside the 10-minute mark of the second half, freshman Glenn Robinson hit a big three-pointer that cut the Morehouse lead to five at 76-71. West Georgia again cut the advantage to three points in the final minute, but never had the ball with a chance to tie the game, as the Maroon Tigers hit free-throws in the waning seconds of the contest to take the victory.
