CARROLLTON, Ga. - A stellar performance over the three games at the 2018 Gulf South Conference Baseball Championship landed West Georgia second baseman Brian Dansereau on the All-Tournament Team, as released the by conference on Wednesday.

Dansereau has been the hottest player for the Wolves at the plate over the final 10 games of the season, and he continued that pace at the tournament, going 7-for-13 with a pair of doubles, two RBI, and a run scored in Cleveland, Miss. over the weekend. Dansereau had a slugging percentage of .692 for the tournament and had a team-high .538 batting average. He was one of two players to hit over .500 at the Championship, joining fellow middle infielder Joseph Hill, who hit .500 for the weekend. 

Over the final 10 games of the season, Dansereau hit .541, belting out 20 hits in 37 at-bats, scoring six runs and driving in five runs. He had six doubles and a triple in that span and had a slugging percentage of .757. He also walked twice and was hit by a pitch twice, giving him on on-base percentage of .571 over the final 10 games. 

In conference games this year, Dansereau hit .330 and had the most at-bats of any Wes Georgia player with 115. He had 38 hits, including 10 doubles, two triples and a home run and was the Wolves' leader in RBI with 19. For the year, he hit .328 with 49 starts in 49 games playd. He had a team-high 201 at-bats with 66 hits, which was second on the team. He led the squad with 17 doubles and 22 overall extra-base hits, as he also had two triples and three home runs. His 35 RBI for the year was good for third on the team.
