CARROLLTON, Ga. - The Wolves are making way in each of their seasons. Only one sport is at home this weekend as Volleyball hosts GSC rival, Valdosta State at the Coliseum on Saturday.


Football

The Football team hosted Limestone for their second game of the season. The Wolves defeated the Saints 42-14. They have moved to 2-0 on the season and are ranked 10th in AFCA Coaches Poll.

The Wolves will be on the road this weekend at Albany State. Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. Live Stats will be available on uwgsports.com on the Football schedule.


Golf

Men’s and Women’s Golf started off their season at the Full Moon Invitational in Calera, Alabama. The Women’s team finished second at the Invitational with Franziska Bremm being the top finisher overall. The Men’s team finished 4th at the Invitational with Lucas Mota who  also took first overall and set a school record in the first round with a 64.


Volleyball

After a week off for Wolves Volleyball, the team had their first home and Gulf South Conference game against Lee University, in which they fell to the flames 3-0.

The Wolves are going into the weekend with a 5-3 record. They will face Shorter in an away match on Friday at 6 p.m. The Wolves will be back at The Coliseum playing Valdosta State at home on Saturday at 1 p.m.


Soccer

The Wolves will compete on the road once again for the third week of the season.

Wolves went into action this past week against Clayton State in Milledgeville. Katie Mitchell scored the only goal for the Wolves, while Jackie Donaldson allowed one goal with four saves. Neither teams were able to score in the overtime period, resulting in a draw.

The Wolves went into their second game of the week strong.

For the upcoming week, the Wolves will be competing against Montevallo on Friday at 8 p.m. and Auburn University-Montgomery on Sunday at 2 p.m.


Cross Country

After a Men’s first place finish and Women’s second place finish two weeks ago, the Wolves will be running this week at Montevallo at the Montevallo Invitational.

Wolves will be looking for Solomon Komen and Mackenzie Morse to continue to have strong finishes as the teams go into the weekend.

The Wolves will begin the race at Montevallo on Saturday morning.
