CALERA, Ala. – The Wolves men’s cross country team heads to the 2018 Falcon Classic hosted by Montevallo on Saturday. This will be the second race of the season for the Cross Country team.

The Falcon Classic will begin with the men racing an 8k at 9:00 a.m. EST with women to follow at 10:00 a.m. There will be 27 teams competing and 266 individual men from those teams running. The Wolves will see some GSC competition at this meet including AUM, Montevallo, Shorter, West Alabama and West Florida.

Solomon Komen, who was the top finisher in the Wolves Home Opener two weeks ago and named GSC Runner of the Week, looks to have another exciting race with vast competition. Komen opened the season running a 24:00.54 in the first 7K of the season. Isaiha Davis also looks to have a competitive race in his first collegiate 8K, and running with many DI teams.

"I expect another strong performance from Solomon, though he will have stiffer competition this time around. I think that the other men are better prepared for this contest and expect to see several season's bests and personal best times," said Head Coach, Ryan Bailey.
