DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The UWG women’s golf team finished in eighth place at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial in Dahlonega, with Franziska Bremm firing a final round 71 to finish in a fourth-place tie at Achasta Golf Club.

 

Bremm has now completed her fall season finishing all four tournaments in the top-ten, as her 146 total in Dahlonega put her in fourth and four shots off the lead.

 

Layne Marie Carter was tied with Bremm after day one, and she shot a 78 on Tuesday, putting the junior inside the top-20 in a 19th place tie.

 

Jasmine Yi improved on yesterday’s score by six strokes as she shot a 79 on Tuesday to finish in a 58th-place tie. Ari Samuel shot 82 for the second straight round and finished tied with Yi in 58th. The pair each shot 164 over 36 holes.

 

Michelle Bagsic struggled in the final round with a 90 on Tuesday. She finished in 68th place.

 

As a team, the Wolves final round 310 gave them a 619 total after 36 holes, which was good for an eighth-place finish. Anderson College won the event after shooting a tournament-low 287 in Tuesday’s final round.

 

The Wolves now have a few months without competition as the LeeAnn Noble Memorial wrapped up their fall schedule.
