CARROLLTON, Ga. - West Georgia softball will have to wait one more day for the 2019 home opener at University Field, as head coach Al Thomas made the call on Tuesday evening to push Wednesday's doubleheader with Georgia College to Thursday at 4 p.m.

The Wolves and Bobcats were originally scheduled to play Wednesday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., but the rain that has fallen on Carrollton over the last 72 hours has saturated University Field, forcing Thomas to make a change. The move will give the field another day to dry out, and will not adversely affect this weekend's Gulf South Conference opener, also scheduled for a home series at University Field.
