CARROLLTON, Ga. - Mississippi College scored in five of the eight innings in Monday's finale against the West Georgia Wolves, handing the Wolves a 14-4 loss to close out the weekend series. 

Mississippi College took an early lead in this one, scoring three runs in the first off of UWG starter Taylor Boisclair. One of the runs was unearned after an error from the Wolves and MC's Billy Cameron belted a two-run home run to give the Choctaws a 3-0 lead. On the opposite side, MC starter Garrett Hollinghead had a no-hitter through the first three innings before Jermond Williams broke that up with a single in the fourth. 

The Wolves broke through for their first run of the day with a home run in the top of the fifth from senior Brian Dansereau, which sparked an inning where the Wolves scored two on four hits. Freshman Dylan Johnson then doubled, followed by a one-out single from Cade Marlowe. Brady Barnes then stroked a single, bringing home Johnson to cut the MC advantage to 10-3 heading to the sixth. 

The Choctaws scored two in the sixth, then the Wolves battled back for another in the seventh. Marlowe started a two-out rally with an infield single, then Barnes singled to right field to give the Wolves two runners on with two outs. Joe Skinner then laced a pinch-hit single to left, scoring Marlowe for the third run of the game for West Georgia. In the top of the eighth, Tucker Breen delivered his second RBI of the weekend with a single up the middle to score Dansereau with the fourth run of the day. 

Mississippi College came back in the eighth, scoring two runs in the inning and ending the contest with a 10-run advantage after the seventh. Taylor Boisclair took the loss in the game, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out three in two innings of work. West Georgia falls to 4-10 on the year and 2-4 against Gulf South Conference competition.
