CLEVELAND, Tenn. The decorated career of Franziska Bremm came to a close on Wednesday as the UWG women’s golf senior shot a final round 79 at the NCAA South Super Regional in Cleveland, Tennessee, putting a wrap on a career that saw her named GSC Player of the Year three times and become a four-time member of the First Team All-Gulf South Conference squad.

In the final round, Bremm avoided the first hole bogey, but ran into trouble on the third and fourth holes of the day, making bogey on each, and then double bogeying her sixth hole, the par four 15th. The Colmberg, Germany native birdied the 16th to get a shot back, but then bogeyed the 18th.

Making the turn to her second nine, or the front nine of Cleveland Country Club, Bremm made another bogey on one and then had back-to-back double bogeys on two and three. In jeopardy of uncharacteristically shooting in the 80s in her final career round, Bremm made birdies on each of her final two holes to finish with a 79.

Bremm finished 17-over for the tournament, good for a 41st place finish.

Lynn won the regional title and will advance to Nationals. Helen Kreuzer of the Fighting Knights won the individual championship.
