CARROLLTON, Ga. – Another postseason academic award for the UWG golf program was announced today, as the Wolves men’s golf squad was named a President’s Special Recognition by the Golf Coaches’ Association of America.


The President’s Special Recognition is given to teams in all divisions of collegiate golf with a team GPA of at least 3.5. West Georgia was one of just five schools in all of Division II to be named Special Recognition by the GCAA President.


The Wolves finished the academic years with a team GPA of 3.58.


In all divisions of golf nationwide, only 34 schools received the President’s Special Recognition with the GPA of 3.5 or higher.
