CALERA, Ala. – A 14-stroke improvement on the final day vaulted the UWG women up three spots for a fourth-place finish at the Full Moon Invitational at Timberline Golf Club in Calera, Alabama.

 

For the second straight day, it was Ari Samuel who led the way for the Wolves, shooting a 75 to finish with a 151 total, good for a tie for seventh place individually.

 

On the final day, Layne Marie Carter, Maddy Schultz, and Michelle Bagsic each shot 77, helping the Wolves post four counting scores below 80 for the first time since the 2018 Gulf South Conference Championship.

 

Bagsic finished in a 19th place tie, followed by Carter in a 22nd place tie, and Maddy Schultz finished in a tie for 24th.

 

Katherine Densmore rounded out Todd Selders’ lineup, shooting a final round 81 to finish with a 161 total and tied for 27th.

 

The Wolves next tournament is scheduled for September 20-22 in Hilton Head, S.C. as UWG competes in the Battle at Old South.
