DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The UWG women’s golf team is in a seventh place tie after an opening round 309 at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Georgia.


After the opening 18 holes, the Wolves are 12 strokes out of first place, currently held by Anderson.


Both Franziska Bremm and Layne Marie Carter led the Wolves with rounds of 75 on Monday, and now sit in a 15th place tie. Two shots behind that duo was Michelle Bagsic whose round of 77 puts her in a 24th place tie.


Ari Samuel shot 82 on Monday and will begin tomorrow’s final round in a 54th place tie. Jasmine Yi is in a 66th place tie after a first round 85.


Converse College’s Tyler Dawson leads individually with an opening round 69.


The Wolves are paired with host North Georgia and Montevallo in tomorrow’s final round. The action gets underway beginning with a 9 a.m. tee time off of hole one at Achasta Golf Club.
