CARROLLTON, Ga. - Head volleyball coach Jon Moseley announced the full 2019 schedule this week, including an August 22 exhibition match with Division III power Emory at The Coliseum. The Wolves report for fall camp on August 7, with the regular season set to begin on September 6 in Huntsville, Alabama. 

The Wolves open the 2019 preseason next Wednesday and will take care of administrative requirements throughout the day on Thursday. Moseley and his staff will begin putting the players through drills at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, and the Wolves will have eight practices before Wednesday when classes begin. On Tuesday evening, August 13, UWG Volleyball and much of the 2019-20 athletic teams will gather on the patio at the Welcome Back Blast to sign autographs, take selfies, and join in the fun ahead of the 2019-20 academic year. 

West Georgia volleyball will compete in an exhibition on August 22 at 6 p.m., taking on the Emory Eagles, the 2018 Division III national champions. The Eagles went 30-6 last season, beating then top-ranked Calvin College in the NCAA Finals to with the D-III National Championship. 

The Wolves will begin the 2019 season on September 6-7 at the UAH Classic, taking on Harding, Alabama Huntsville, and Trevecca Nazarene at Spragins Hall in Huntsville, Alabama. Week two will be a trip to St. Augustine, Florida and the Flagler tournament, taking on Flagler, Lees-McRae, Embry-Riddle, and Walsh. 

The 2019 regular-season home opener will come on September 17 at 7 p.m., as the Wolves take on Clark Atlanta in a non-conference battle in the final warmup weekend before Gulf South Conference play begins on Tuesday, September 24 against the Lee Flames. The first GSC home match will be on September 26 against the Shorter Hawks at 7 p.m.
