CARROLLTON, Ga. - One year ago, Stephaun Branch was a star at The Coliseum for the West Georgia Wolves. Now, he is a professional basketball player, as he recently signed with the South Bay Lakers of the NBA G-League.
Branch, a two-time All-Gulf South Conference performer for the Wolves, signed with South Bay in early November and has since played in four games, averaging 6.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. His best game among the four thus far came on Sunday evening against the Texas Legends, when Branch scored 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
The Lakers will play next on Wednesday evening aganst the Iowa Wolves of the Timberwolves organization, then will face-off with the Austin Spurs on Saturday evening for the second-straight week.
