CARROLLTON, Ga. – The West Georgia Women’s cross country team looks ahead to this Saturday’s race at the UNG Cross Country Invitational, on Saturday morning at Oakwood, Ga.

The Wolves look to compete against a big field of runners, as 17 schools including West Georgia are competing at the UNG Invitational. The competition is a mixture of Division II, Division III and NAIA schools.

West Georgia looks to take advantage of the flat and fast course, as Head Coach Ryan Bailey expects the team to be lead by freshman runner Mackenzie Morse.

“Mackenzie Morse has had a good week in practice and I expect her to continue leading our team. I’m also looking forward to seeing a better performance from Bailey Roberts as she has now recovered from an illness that held her back a bit last week,” Coach Bailey said.

The invitational will be held at the University of North Georgia’s Gainesville Campus. The women’s race will begin at 8:15 a.m.
