CARROLLTON, Ga. - Following the second postponement of the 2017 Gulf South Conference tournament on Friday morning, league officials announced the new schedule for the annual event in Huntsville, Ala. on Friday afternoon.
The tournament has been suspended for the day on Friday, and the tournament format will be changed to a single elimination tournament, beginning at 12:00 p.m. (EST) on Saturday afternoon. The West Georgia Wolves, entering the tournament as the 8th seed, will be playing top-seeded Alabama-Huntsville as the opening game of the tournament. The winner between UWG and UAH will take on the winner of #4 Valdosta State and #5 North Alabama at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
The 2017 Gulf South Conference tournament will then conclude on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. with the championship game. All games will be moved back to Charger Park. Daily pass prices for each day of the Tournament shall be $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 6-17, $5.00 for students (with GSC Student ID) and FREE for children 5 and under. All ticket revenue is retained by the GSC. All Tournament passes can also be purchased for $20.
