Carrollton, GA – Only three weeks ahead of the arrival of a new year, coach Skip Fite has announced his West Georgia Wolves baseball schedule for the 2019 season.


The Wolves’ 2019, 50-game campaign begins Saturday, February 2, with a double header at Wingate. The three-game, weekend set will concluded with a single game on Sunday afternoon. Following a Tuesday road game in Milledgeville vs. Georgia College, the Wolves play their home opener on Friday, February 8, as Bellarmine (Ky.) comes to Carrollton for a three-game, weekend set.


 West Georgia’s 30-game, Gulf South Conference schedule begins on February 16 as Shorter visits Carrollton for a three-game weekend. The series with Shorter is the first of five GSC series scheduled for Cole Field. Beyond the Hawks, West Alabama, Alabama-Huntsville, Lee, and Union will come to Carrollton this season.


The Wolves’ first GSC road series is set for February 23 and 24 as they visit Clinton for a three-game set vs. defending league champion Mississippi College. UWG’s other conference road series are set vs. Delta State, Montevallo, Auburn-Montgomery, and Valdosta State. UWG visits the Blazers for a regular season ending, three-game series on April 27 and 28.


The 2019 GSC Championships begin on Saturday, May 4, in Oxford, Ala. The entire schedule including game times can be viewed using the above link.
