SAINT LEO, Fla. – The University of West Georgia women's cross country team wrapped up their season on Saturday at the 2016 NCAA Division II South Regional Meet as the Wolves finished 17th.
 
Taylor Dove ran a personal best time of 24:38, besting last year's time at the regional by three minutes. Dove led the Wolves in each and every race this season, finishing the year with a 50th place finish at today's regional.
 
Alexis Smith ran a time of 26:21.92 and placed 93rd in her first career action at the NCAA Regionals. Amie Wimberly finished just outside of the top-100 with a 105th place finish and a time of 27:07.64.
 
Bailey Roberts finished in 111th place with a time of 27:40.07. Shelby Parkesian and Allison Wilson finished 116th and 117th respectively with times of 28:28.83 and 28:32.19. Wilson topped her personal best by three minutes on Saturday.
 
Kayla McGuire was the final runner across the line for the Wolves, finishing in 119th place with a time of 29:16.15.
 
Puerto Rico – Rio Piedras won the meet with Saint Leo and Lee finishing second and third.
