UWG women's cross country heads to Florida this weekend for the NCAA Division II South Region Cross Country Championships in Saint Leo, FL. The 6K race will be run on the Abbey Course at Saint Leo University at 9:45 after the men run at 8:30.

The top 3 teams in each race will advance to the NCAA Division II Women's Cross Country National Championship, along with the top three individuals who are not part of a qualifying team. 22 NCAA institutions from around the southeast will participate in Saturday's race.

All-GSC performer Taylor Dove looks to lead the women this weekend. The senior finished 20th at the Gulf South Conference Championship, running a time of 19:22.28 in the 5K.

The teams running Saturday on the women's side will be: Alabama-Huntsville University, Benedict, Christian Brothers University, Florida Southern University, Florida Institute of Technology, Lee University, Lynn University, Mississippi College, University of North Alabama, Nova Southeastern, Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras, Palm Beach Atlantic University , Saint Leo University , Shorter University , University of Tampa, Union, Valdosta State University, University of West Alabama, University of West Florida, and our very own University of West Georgia Wolves.
