CARROLLTON, Ga. – The wait is over for the UWG women’s golf team as the Wolves are set to open their 2018 season at Timberline Golf Club at the Full Moon Invitational.

Senior standout Franziska Bremm is back for her final season for the Red and Blue, coming off a junior campaign where she reached the NCAA Regionals as an individual. Bremm is a two-time GSC Player of the Year and was last year named First Team All-Gulf South Conference. Bremm is in the top spot in head coach Todd Selders lineup to open the season.

Layne Marie Carter is in the lineup at number two, as she begins her junior season. The remainder of the UWG lineup is composed of freshmen newcomers as Michelle Bagsic, Ari Samuel, and Stephania Vargas round out the lineup.

Fellow freshman Jasmine Yi will be competing as an individual as she begins her collegiate career for the Wolves.

Fellow GSC teams West Florida, Montevallo, Christian Brothers, Spring Hill and Shorter highlight West Georgia’s competition. The only non-GSC team in the field is North Georgia.

The tournament, hosted by Montevallo, will start on Monday morning with the first round and the second and final round taking place on Tuesday at Timberline Golf Club.
