CARROLLTON, Ga. – It’s a trip to Myrtle Beach and the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate for the UWG women’s golf team as the Wolves are set to compete in the tournament hosted by Lincoln-Memorial and Lenoir Rhyne on Monday and Tuesday at Ocean Ridge Plantation.
The Wolves are coming off of a sixth place finish at the Battle at Old South last weekend, and will look to build on that as they compete against some top teams in the SAC and Conference Carolinas and look to defend their title from last season’s victory at this same tournament.
Head coach Todd Selders will have Jordan Daniel in the lineup this week, after she had a solid start to the season last week, shooting rounds of 72 and 75 to finish tied for 9th at the Battle at Old South.
Franziska Bremm will look to get back to her game that won her the past two GSC Player of the Year awards. Bremm shot rounds of 76 and 75 in her first tournament of the fall season.
Maria Torres and Layne Carter will round out the lineup for the Wolves as UWG will have just four players this week.
The Wolves will get underway tomorrow morning with the tournament concluding on Tuesday afternoon.
