CALERA, Ala. – The UWG women’s golf team wrapped up their first round of the new fall season on Monday, and find themselves in seventh place at the Full Moon Invitational hosted by Montevallo at Timberline Golf Club.
Sophomore Ari Samuel led the Wolves on Monday, tying a career low with a 76 and putting her in a 12th place tie with 18 holes to play on Tuesday.
Another sophomore, Michelle Bagsic, and freshman Katherine Densmore finished Monday’s round with an 81, good for a 25th place tie. One stroke behind them was senior Layne Marie Carter who shot 82 and is tied for 30th.
Maddy Schultz rounded out the lineup for head coach Todd Selders, and the freshman shot an 83 in her first collegiate round and begins Tuesday in a 35th place tie.
The final round is set for tomorrow from Timberline Golf Club in Calera, Alabama.
