Carrollton, GA – For the third consecutive year a member of the UWG Wolves football team has selected to participate in the National Football League Scouting Combine. Desmond Harrison was invited this week to take part in the annual event February 27-March 5 in Indianapolis.

Harrison, an offensive tackle from Houston, Texas, is third UWG standout in as many years to be invited to the combine. In 2016 offensive tackle Dom Robertson was selected to take part, while defensive end Dylan Donahue earned the honor a year ago.

Harrison’s first day in Indianapolis will be February 27 as he and other offensive linemen are scheduled as “Day One” arrivals at the combine. That day he will begin a regimen that includes three days of activities, including orientation, medical testing, psychological testing, and the weight room. The on-field workout day for offensive linemen is set for Friday, March 2, when the players will go through timing, stations, and skill drills.

Harrison earned All-America, All-Region, and All-GSC honors for West Georgia in 2017. He received much attention from pro scouts throughout the season, despite missing time with injuries. He was selected to play in last week’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. However, he missed the game due to injury, but did attend meetings and practices for the contest.
