CARROLLTON, Ga. – With August and the start to fall camp on the campus of the University of West Georgia on the horizon, the UWG soccer program has finalized their 2019 schedule.

The 2019 schedule marks the third under head coach Stacey Balaam as the Wolves look to continue to rise in the ranks of the Gulf South Conference.

West Georgia will begin the year on the road for the second straight season, opening 2019 against in-state foe Young Harris on Thursday, September 5. Two days later, the Wolves host North Georgia for the home opener, kicking off a slate of eight home games at University Field with a 1 p.m. kickoff on September 7.

In the final tune-up before GSC play starts, UWG will host Georgia College in a 1 p.m. start on September 22.

The GSC slate begins at home as West Georgia will take on Auburn Montgomery on Friday, September 27 and Montevallo on Sunday, September 29. Friday’s GSC opener begins at 5 p.m. and Sunday’s game kicks off at 1 p.m.

West Georgia then has three-straight conference road games, highlighted by a trip down south to take on rival Valdosta State on October 13.

The next weekend, UWG hosts Delta State on October 18 in another 5 p.m. Friday showdown and then hosts the always solid Mississippi College Choctaws at 1 p.m. on October 20.

Four consecutive games away from University Field then await the Wolves, with the biggest test of the season coming on October 27 as UWG takes on perennial power West Florida in Pensacola.

The regular season draws to a close in the first week of November with a Thursday contest against in-state rival Shorter on the seventh at 5 p.m. Senior Day is set for November 9 as the Wolves host Lee in the regular season finale at 1 p.m.

The GSC Tournament begins with Super Tuesday on November 12 with the semifinals and finals coming on November 15 and 17 in Pensacola.

All times are eastern and subject to change.

The Wolves are coming off a 7-9-3 campaign last season, finishing 7-5-1 in GSC play and earning a spot in the GSC Tournament where UWG fell 1-0 to eventual Elite Eight team Lee in the opening round.
