CLINTON, Miss. – The UWG cross country teams competed in the Gulf South Conference Championships on Saturday morning in Clinton, Mississippi. The men’s squad finished ninth with the women finishing 11th.


Top Performers

- Sophomore Solomon Komen finished in 10th place with a time of 25:43.51 in the 8K race. Komen’s finish earns him First Team All-GSC Honors in his first season at UWG. 

Isaiha Davis notched a top-50 finish in his first race at the GSC Championships with a 45th place finish, crossing the line in 26:57.89.

- Mackenzie Morse led the women’s squad as the top finisher with a 63rd place finish and a time of 21:27.04.

- Just four seconds behind her was Alaina Burnside. Her time of 21:31.93 gave her a 64th place finish.
