CARROLLTON, Ga. - The West Georgia women's squad had their top finish of the 2019 season thus far, coming in second place at the 2019 UWG Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Observatory Field on the UWG campus. 

Freshman Devin Helms had her top finish of the year, running the 5K in 20:42 to finish second in the UWG home meet for her first collegiate top-10 finish. She was one of four Wolves to finish in the top-20 of the meet to power West Georgia to second place in the team standings. Dalton State finished first in the meet with multiple runners in the top-10.

The Wolves will be back in action on October 12 at Georgia College in the final warmup before the 2019 Gulf South Conference Championships in Montevallo, Alabama on October 26.
