CARROLLTON, Ga. – Weather related schedule changes have been a way of life this season for the UWG Wolves baseball and softball teams. This weekend will be more of the same as the Wolves’ archrivals hit town.

The Gulf South Conference office in Birmingham approved Wednesday a proposed adjustment to this weekend’s baseball and softball series between West Georgia and Valdosta State. The reason for the change is a weather forecast calling for the potential of heavy rains and possibly thunderstorms on Sunday.

The updated schedule now calls for the Wolves and Blazers to play their baseball double header on Friday at 1 p.m. at Cole Field, with Saturday’s single game also set for 1:00.  Game times for the softball series are a bit different. The Wolves-Blazers twin bill at University Field is set for Friday at 3 p.m., while Saturday’s single is set to begin at 12 noon.

New Schedule
UWG Baseball vs. Valdosta State - 1:00 p.m. (DH)

UWG Softball vs. Valdosta State - 12:00 PM (Single game)
