CARROLLTON, Ga. – With Hurricane Irma bearing down on the southeast, this weekend’s season opening tournament for both men’s and women’s golf in Calera, Ala. has been cancelled.

The Wolves were originally scheduled to travel to Timberline Golf Club to compete, for the first time under head coach Todd Selders, in the Full Moon Invitational hosted by Montevallo, but with the threat of flooding and severe weather, Montevallo has cancelled the tournament.

The women’s team will now travel to Hilton Head, S.C. to begin their season on September 23-24 at the Battle at Old South Invitational, a tournament in which the Wolves won a season ago.

The men’s team opens their season on September 25-26 at the AFLAC Cougar Invitational in Columbus, Ga.
