CARROLLTON, Ga. – It’s finally time to officially tee it up for the West Georgia men’s golf team as the Wolves are set to open the 2018 fall portion of their schedule at the Full Moon Invitational next week at Timberline Golf Club in Calera, Alabama.

West Georgia will have a familiar face at the top of their lineup as senior Sam Jones is poised for his fourth season in Carrollton. Jones is coming off of a spectacular junior campaign that saw him earn an individual berth in the NCAA Regionals and be named First Team All-Gulf South Conference.

Just two additional returners are traveling to Calera next week as Jones is joined by his brother Ethan Jones in the lineup and fellow senior Dan Benson will be competing as an individual.

Three newcomers round out the lineup for second year head coach Todd Selders. Lucas Mota will be in the second spot, a freshman from Barcelona, Spain. In the third spot is Blake Kollin, a freshman from Milton who comes to Carrollton from Cambridge High School. The fourth spot features another freshman, Rece Moore.

There will be plenty of familiar opponents for the Wolves including GSC opponents Mississippi College, Christian Brothers, Montevallo, and Shorter.

The tournament, hosted by Montevallo, will start on Monday morning with the first round and the second and final round taking place on Tuesday at Timberline Golf Club.
