CARROLLTON, Ga. – West Georgia’s men’s golf team will look to keep the momentum going this week as the Wolves head to Kiawah Island, South Carolina for the Kiawah Island Invitational next week looking for their second straight team win to start the season.

The Wolves will have a larger, and much stronger field up against them this week in South Carolina, but UWG will confidently walk into their second tournament of the season after winning the Full Moon Invitational by 10 strokes to open the season earlier this week.

Head coach Todd Selders will use the same five golfers he did in Alabama, but has shifted the lineup this week, moving Rece Moore to the top spot. Moore, a sophomore from Dallas, won his first career tournament in a sudden-death playoff at the Full Moon Invitational.

Moore will be joined by Lucas Mota, Jonathon Toftebrant, Adam Park, and Blake Kollin in the lineup this week as they go against a strong field of Division II teams including 12th-ranked USC-Aiken who host’s the tournament at the esteemed Kiawah Island Resort.

In-state teams Georgia College, Columbus State, and Clayton State are also in the field as well as Gulf South Conference competition from the likes of Lee and Valdosta State.

West Georgia will be playing a practice round on Sunday before opening with the first round on Monday and then concluding with the second and final round on Tuesday.
