CARROLLTON, Ga. – The UWG men’s golf team wrapped up their first tournament of the spring on Tuesday, shooting a second round 296 to finish in fourth place as a team at the Hurricane Invitational at Doublegate Country Club in Albany, Georgia.


The second day was set to be a 36-hole day to make up for Monday’s rainout, but the Wolves and the field only got in 18 holes on the final day. Young Harris came from behind on day two to claim the team title.


Dan Benson was the highest finisher for the Wolves on the tournament as he finished in a fourth place tie after following yesterday’s 71 up with a 73 on Tuesday.


The low round of the day went to Samuel Jones who used a second round 72 to finish in a seventh place tie with a 145 total.


Carson Vaughn shot a 76 in his final round, finishing in a 19th place tie. Just one shot behind him was Ethan Jones who shot a final round 75 to finish in a 22nd place tie.


James Robillard shot 77 on Tuesday and ended the tournament with a in a 26th place tie.


Competing as an individual, Valentin Riviere shot a 75 on Tuesday, good for a 147 total and an 11th place finish.
