KIAWAH ISLAND, SC – A second straight round of 290 gave the UWG men’s golf team a 580 total and an 11th place finish at the Kiawah Island Invitational at Osprey Point.

 

Once again, Rece Moore led the way with the low round for the Wolves, shooting a 71 on Tuesday to finish with a 139 total and a second-straight top-10 finish, coming in a seventh place tie at Kiawah.

 

Adam Park also shot a 71 on the final day, giving him a 145 total and a tie for 28th place. After yesterday’s 72, sophomore Lucas Mota finished with a final round 76 and came in a 41st place tie with a 148 total.

 

It was a three shot improvement for Blake Kollin who finished the tournament with a 73 on Tuesday, placing 49th. Jonathon Toftebrant also improved three shots, finishing with a 75 and a 153 total, good for a 71st place tie.

 

The Wolves finished 11th while Lander shot rounds of 282 and 275 to finish as the team champion with a 19-under total.

 

West Georgia’s next tournament is set for September 30 and October 1 as the Wolves travel to Dahlonega, Georgia for the UNG Fall Invitational at Achasta Golf Club.
